Specifically I am interested in the upper bound - is it ok to use up to 10 keV? Are the cameras well calibrated enough at these energies?Answer from(回答の文責)T.Tamura (suzaku help)Answer (答え)Please consult the documents given below.http://cosmic.riken.jp/suzaku/help/status/questions/0152.html You can also check in detail with documents below http://www.astro.isas.jaxa.jp/suzaku/doc/suzakumemo/ Fig.6.7 suzaku TD shows fits of the Crab/XIS data to a power-law model. The ratio gives estimate accuracy of the effective area calibration. You can use spectra up to 10 keV, but you need to take care calibration uncertainty above 8 keV of a level of 10-20%. This is for a point source at the nominal position. If your source is extended or at offset angle, you may also take for vignetting and its energy dependency. You may also need take care for non-X-ray background if your source is not so bright. Status (詳細なステータス)2013-04-12 Accept2013-04-12 Replied 2013-02-23 Done ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
