But as we know the background consists as well of the X-ray background. This is easy to be handled for a point source, but how to deal with the X-ray background for an extended source observed by XIS, since there is no introduction on this in the manual? Thank you!Answer from(回答の文責)H.YamaguchiAnswer (答え)We regret that no "blank sky" including the X-ray BGD component are provided by the XIS team. Therefore, please decide by yourself how to deal with the X-ray BGD. The following papers would be useful for your analysis. Kushino et al. (2002), PASJ, 54, 327 Henley & Shelton (2007), astro-ph/0703189 Henley et al. (2007), ApJ, 661, 304 For example, Kushino+2002 reports that the cosmic X-ray BGD in the 2-10keV band is represented by a power-law model with the photon index of 1.412 and the surface brightness of 6.38E-8 erg/cm^2/s/sr.Status (詳細なステータス)2008-07-02 Accept2008-07-07 Answer 2008-07-07 Done ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
