I have a problem with xissimarfgen. I used source_mode = UNIFORM previously
and that worked just fine without any problems. Now I would like to use
source_mode = DETFITS, but I receive an error message:

All the other parameters are same as in the working mode. I have only
changed the source_mode option. I attached the file I used to drive
xissimarfgen.

I failed to run the xissimarfgen. It crashes without an error message,
as shown here.
I am using source_mode = DETFITS. I believe that the
problem maybe has something to do with the image I am using. The FITS
image is produced from the suzaku event file using xselect. It is unbinned,
in detector coordinates and its size is 1024x1024. Do you have any suggestions?

and solved the problem (1).
- In order to know your problem more precisely,
please provide us the CALDB set up in your environment.
- Did you download the multimission calibration tar file?
This file is required to run xissimarfgen, and
that file is prepared on
this web page.
On question (2), there is a known bug in xissimarfgen with
source_mode=DETFITS,
and they will fix this bug in the next release of HEADAS package
on November 2007.
